A small starfish with the surface worked all over in fine bumps, arms that are not quite even, and a jump ring off the tip of one of them so she hangs at a slight tilt. Most gold starfish are flat and symmetrical, and this one is neither.
Starfish regrow their arms. Some species can rebuild an entire body from a single one, which is why regeneration attached itself to them long before anyone could explain how it worked.
