A flat snake chain running into a curved bar at the front, where three oval sapphires alternate with two diamonds, all prong-set. The bar is part of the necklace itself, so the stones sit in a line along the collarbone.
The construction is why she is here. A bar built into the chain holds its place, where a pendant twists and drops out of position through the day. Sapphire sits just under diamond for hardness, which makes it one of the few coloured stones you can wear without thinking about it. Sixteen and three quarter inches, on a spring ring.
