The Parlor Signet

Built for a parlor and worn into the world. This preloved 10k yellow gold signet carries a square face framed in a beaded border, its shoulders carved with swirling foliate scrollwork that disappears into the gold like something half-remembered. At the centre, a rose-cut diamond — that flat, faceted cut favoured long before brilliance was the point — flanked by two peridot in the corners, their soft olive green grounding the whole composition. Rose-cut diamonds are said to carry the quality of moonlight: subtle, reflective, a little mysterious. Currently a size 8 and can be resized.
