Sculptural Shell and Diamond Ring
"I love when the line between art and jewelry blurs. This is sculptural and so charmingly beautiful, I can almost hear the waves hitting the sand when I look at it. Whether you're a water baby or just drawn to the ocean, this one is special."
— Megan, founder & curator
This one is gone.
There was only ever one, and someone found it first. It is the hard part of selling pieces like these.
New treasures land Wednesdays and Sundays.
Join the list and I will let you know the moment they do, an hour before they are released to the public.
A Retro-era sculptural ring in 10k yellow gold, the central form rising like a conch shell with a ribbed, spiraling body and a curved line of five small diamonds along its leading edge. The shoulders fan out in fine openwork, like rays spreading from a band.
Retro jewelry, made roughly between 1935 and 1950, was the moment goldsmiths leaned into sculpture. With platinum restricted during the war, they pushed yellow gold to do dramatic, architectural work. This ring is a small monument to that era: bold form, deliberate movement, small old-cut diamonds set just so. A piece that wears like art on the hand.
