A deep blue oval sapphire sits in a bezel setting at the centre of this ring, held by a thick ribbed gold band that spirals in tight, parallel ridges from shoulder to shoulder. The ribbing catches light at every angle and gives the whole piece a satisfying solidity. Blue sapphires have been worn as symbols of loyalty, truth, and intuition for millennia.
