An oval opal in a plain gold bezel, ringed with small diamonds bead-set into the gold, and a bail that comes straight off the top of the frame rather than hanging from a loop.
She arrived empty. The setting and the bail are what we wanted, and the opal is ours, chosen for her afterwards. Filling an empty mount well is mostly a matter of picking a stone that looks like it never left.
