A late Victorian band set with seven rose cut diamonds in a starburst arrangement. The center stone sits in a kite-shaped recess, flanked by three smaller rose cuts on each side, each one star-set into the wide yellow gold band.
Star settings sit the stones flush with the metal rather than raised on prongs. Practical, hard-wearing, made for daily life. The engraved star points radiating from each stone are original to the era, a Victorian flourish that catches light alongside the diamonds themselves. Rose cuts glow rather than sparkle, faceted by hand and made for candlelight. No two are alike, and seven of them in a row is a quietly extravagant thing.
