A short run of heavy squared links between the huggie and the pearl, which gives a very soft stone a piece of hardware to hang from. The whole drop measures 33.55mm, so she swings and turns as you move.
The chain is what did it. Pearls are the only gem grown by a living creature, and hanging one from links this blunt gives the pair a tension a pearl earring rarely has. Take the drop off and the huggie wears on its own, which makes her two pairs in one.
