A round mother of pearl set into a gold bezel, with wire coiled and wrapped at intervals around the outside so the frame carries as much detail as the centre. She sits 4.91mm off the chest across a 24mm face.
The bezel work is why she is here. Mother of pearl is nacre, the same material a pearl is made of, laid down inside the shell in layers thin enough to split light, which is why it glows instead of shining. At 24 by 20mm she has real presence, and she does her best work on a plain chain.
