Deep purple amethyst set at intervals along a gold rope chain, each stone a rough barrel shape rather than a matched bead, with small gold beads on either side of it.
Rope chain catches light the whole way round because the gold is twisted rather than linked flat, so the bracelet keeps moving even where there is no stone. The amethyst is dark enough to read as near-black until it does, and that is the difference between this and a plain gold rope.
